Danobat wins the “Internationalisation” award from the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce held its twelfth Industry Awards in San Sebastián, and the Jury chose Danobat as the winner of the “Internationalisation” award.

Based in Elgoibar, the Danobat Group is among the top 20 manufacturers in its sector in Europe.

In addition to the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, which was given to Juan Jesús Santa Cruz, the president of the Calcinor group, the Chamber of Commerce awarded a further three prizes during the event held at their San Sebastián headquarters and attended by over 300 entrepreneurs and institutional representatives. The “Internationalisation” award went to the Danobat Group, Fundiciones del Estanda received the award for the “Best Guipuzcoan Small Business” and Aner Sistemas Informáticos was given the prize for the “Best Services Company”.

The internationalisation award was handed over to the Danobat Group by the Vice Minister of Industry, José Ignacio Zudaire, who acknowledged the excellent year 2008 has been for them, precisely as a result of their international dynamism, which has meant that a new plant will be built in India in 2009.
